To achieve this goal it is prudent that top quality seeds should be available, affordable and be in consistent supply. This is vital as seed is one of the  basic inputs for agricultural production and a key element in ensuring human and animal food supply. For many years now the Kenya Seed Company has not only been able to meet the local demand for seeds but exports to many countries of the world.
In order to maintain the company’s strategic position as the market leader in the supply of top quality seed in the East Africa  Region, the  Company incorporated Kibo and Mt Elgon Seed companies in Tanzania and Uganda respectively to expand its market.
 Simlaw Seed Company, which is a wholly owned  subsidiary of Kenya Seed Company specialises in marketing high quality SIMLAW SEEDS.

ISO 9001:2000 CERTIFICATION

The road to ISO 9001:2000 certification began in April, 2006 when the company made a strategic decision to adopt the Quality Management System to ensure customer requirements are met.

The company's business is driven by a passion for excellence in all its operations. In adopting the standard, the company commits itself to providing Top Quality seeds through efficient quality processes.

We aim at :

2. Develop and equip a team of qualified technical staff

3. Provide capabilities that meet or exceed farmers expectation

4. Comply with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements

5. Commit to continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Quality Management System

It involved defining the quality policy, quality objectives and documenting the processes (Procedures and work instructions) among others.

The Company was certified by 30th June, 2007.
