Company Profile SIMLAW SEEDS history runs back to 9 October 1929 when two English gardeners Simpson and Whitelaw registered it as a company then under the Indian companies act 1882. In 1968 Kirchoff East Africa, acquired the company whose headquarters? was in South Africa. Simlaw Seeds Company Limited was registered in 2002 and retained the name Simpson and Whitelaw shortened Simlaws Seeds. Its main responsibility is in importing, producing, marketing and distributing quality and genuine seeds for commercial and domestic use. The company has a wide range of horticultural and agricultural seeds that have penetrated the markets well and includes Cabbages e.g. Pruktor F1 and Riana F1which have been known to be high yeilders .The Onions and Tomato varieties are adaptable to various climatic conditions thus adequately meeting the local demand. The Carrot Nantes has also proved to be of high demand. Of the indigenous vegetables we have seeds for Black Nightshade (managu), Spider Plant (Saget) and Amaranthus (Terere), which are highly nutritious and do not require many inputs to flourish. In addition to this, we also stock a variety of herbs and flowers seeds. |
