Kenya Seed Company has over the years produced barley seed for one single customer namely Kenya Breweries Ltd. Over time the production of barley seeds increased beyond the normal requirements of Kenya Breweries Ltd., necessitating the company to explore export markets for the surplus.
Although small quantities of barley seed have been exported to Uganda for some time now, the company has the capability to produce commercial quantities for export.
